Campus Crusade for Christ at Northern Illinois University

Community Groups

Community Groups meet for the purpose of deeper discussion on the things that really matter in life. We look at the teachings of Jesus Christ and seek to apply to our lives what He taught. There are different Community Groups that meet all across campus. So whether it is in your residence hall, fraternity or sorority house, or at Huskie Stadium, Community Groups are a great place to connect deeper with God and with others. Find a Community Group that works for you…

GREEK

There is nothing like the bond of brotherhood (or sisterhood). Your fraternity or sorority will provide you with great friendships that will most likely last a lifetime. The parties, service projects, and fundraisers will all contribute to quite a college experience. Most chapters have at their roots, strong ties to spirituality, namely to Christianity. Many of the rituals and symbols of each chapter point to a direct connection of a rich heritage of faith. GREEK CRU is a community of NIU Greek students who desire to grow in their faith as well as help their fellow greek friends take the next step in their own spiritual journey. For more information contact Becky or Eric.

IMPACT (African American Initiative)

Christianity is not a white man’s religion! The Christian faith is alive and thriving among African American Communities all across our country. Yet, so many of our churches in Dekalb and ministries on campus all look so…white! IMPACT is a community of African American students at NIU who desire to see their fellow African Americans reached with the gospel, and equipped to reach the whole campus. We have regular gathering on campus as well as an incredible conference over MLK weekend! For more information contact Tony.
